Within the framework of the project "Hybrid silicon Sub-THz Low Noise Amplifiers with self-healing capabilities for 6G wireless communication" we are looking for a Ph Student to develop the following aspects:
What you will do
To strengthen our design team, this vacancy is looking for a strong research profile on RF analog and mixed-signal circuit design for next generation of 6G wireless communication systems at the G Band. To realize compact, low-power, high-performance mmW transceivers extensive co-design of EM passive structures together with active circuits has become a necessity. Furthermore, new self-healing techniques will be developed to make robust designs against process variations, aging, etc. critical at mmW frequencies.
What we do for you
We offer a fully funded PhD position for full-time research in a highly international, renowned and friendly working environment, with a market appropriate salary at University of Navarra. As a researcher you will publish and present your research results at major international conferences and in scientific journals in order to pursue your PhD degree and you will receive the possibility to follow various advanced training courses in Spain or abroad. Typical research projects in the Design group involve multiple researchers with different specialties working as a team. Hence, a good team spirit, a good knowledge of English and effective communication skills (such as presenting and reporting) are of major importance for a successful collaboration.
Join the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of TECNUN.
About the position:
A fully funded PhD position is available at the Tecnun School of Engineering, University of Navarra, San Sebastián, Spain. The selected candidate will join the Wireless Instrument Group (WIN) at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong research background to contribute to the development of service-aware 6G communication and computing technologies for Critical Cyber-Physical Systems (CCPS), including applications such as industrial automation and smart grids. To address the diverse and stringent requirements of CCPS, integrated 6G communication and computing schemes with service-aware characteristics should be developed, focusing on end-to-end system performance against key performance indicators.
The selected candidate will work on the following key tasks:
Tecnun, the Engineering School of the University of Navarra, offers a 3-year doctoral contract at the Technological Campus in San Sebastián (Spain).
We provide an excellent, international, and multidisciplinary research environment with state-of-the-art facilities.
Opportunities to visit world-reputed universities, research institutes, and industrial partners in and out of Spain.
Training:
- Hands-on training in developing and running experimental testbeds
- Training in advanced research methodologies in 6G communication & computing
- Guidance in publishing and presenting in top-tiered journals and conferences
The expected start time is Fall 2025.
